Jesus, I Trust In You

The composition depicts Jesus as He appears in the Divine Mercy image, representing His desire to pour out an ocean of graces to souls who trust in His Mercy (Diary, 1520). The child represents the childlike faith Jesus calls us to have. He tells St. Faustina to be humble and simple like a child. When we are little, Jesus can bring us close to His heart (Diary, 1481). The little girl’s white dress symbolizes the purification of our hearts and the garden represents our union with God. The tomatoes and cucumbers in the garden illustrate the fruits of the Holy Spirit that Jesus blesses us with when we trust in His Divine Mercy.
