"Our Peace" is an original portrait of Jesus Christ by Kristen Rogers. The soft, peaceful tones of the background and clothes of Jesus mimic the gentle gaze of Christ and represents his words from the gospel of Matthew. Jesus says, "Come to me, all who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourself. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light." Matthew 11: 28-30.
May this painting remind us that the Lord is with us. He fills our hearts with new life and joy when we give Him every struggle, obstacle, and challenge and then choose to rest in Him.
